DHAKA (Daily Dunya) - Winner of Miss World Bangladesh 2017 Jannatul Nayeem has been stripped of crown after her hidden marriage controversy emerged.
According to the authorities, only unmarried women can participate in the event but the selected model had tied knot in 2013 and got divorced after two months. She was also alleged of breaching the rules by telling a lie for her seat.
Jannatul has lost her legitimacy as the Miss World Bangladesh for concealing information about her, the organizers stated.
Moreover, the organiser crowned runner-up Jessia Islam as the new Miss World Bangladesh.
