(Web Desk) – The new song for the Pepsi’s battle of the bands promotional video was released earlier this week. The highlight of the video was Pakistan’s heart throb Fawad Khan’s come back singing in the video, after many years since his band Entity Paradigm. Meesha Shafi and Atif Aslam are also seen in the video singing to a mash-up of Alamgir’s ‘Dheka Na Tha’ and Vital Signs’ ‘Do Pal Ka Jeewan’.
The launch song also includes Shahi Hasan of Vital Signs rocking his guitar all the way from New York.
Pepsi battle of the bands will air on July 30; the jury of the show will include Fawad, Meesha and also Aaroh’s Farooq Ahmed.

According to a press release, the teaser serves as a tribute to two of the founding acts of Pakistani pop scene, Alamgir and Vital Signs.
Almost 120 entries from across Pakistan participated in the battle of the bands, out of which the short listed newly talented bands will perform in front of the trio and compete for the show.
The TV show was first aired in 2002 and gave Pakistan a host of talented artists and bands like, Entity Paradigm, Aaroh and Meekal Hasan Band.
