LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani actress and TV host Veena Malik has ended her three-year-old marriage with Asad Khattak after a family court here granted them divorce.
Veena Malik had filed a case for getting Khula from her husband Asad Khattak in the court of Lahore family court judge Qaisar Jamil Gujjar on January 6, 2017 and the court announced a decree in favour of Veena Malik on January 31, 2017.
The family court announced ex parte decree as Asad Khattak counsel did not appear in the court.
After obtaining Khula, Veena Malik will return 25 per cent of 25 thousand dirham she received as ‘Mahr’ to her ex-husband Asad Khattak and on getting divorce, Veena will pay back 50 per cent of 50 thousand she got as ‘Mahr’.
Veena Malik and Asad Khattak got married on December 25, 2013 in Dubai and were blessed with a son and a daughter.
