LAHORE (Dunya News) – Committee formed by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has recommended to exhibit Indian films in Pakistan after they were slapped with a ban.

The committee has forwarded summary seeking to lift the ban to the premier.

The recommendation has been put forth by a committee that was formed a few months ago by PM Nawaz. Reportedly, the committee has taken a decision after deliberating upon the issue with all stakeholders.

Exhibition of Indian films were banned in Pakistan after tensions between the neighbouring countries escalated following Uri attack in Baramulla District of Occupied Kashmir last September.

The development had come in after extremist groups in India threatened Pakistani actors working there.
