In the 70’s, he entered the film industry and made his debut in filmmaker Maulana Hippi and director Qamar Zaidi’s movie ‘Dhamaka’.
The movie was written by Ibn-e-Safi. Shabnam and Rehman appeared in the lead roles in ‘Dhamaka’.
After appearing in various movies, the actor stepped into the production field and released his first film in 1995.
In 2005, he switched to acting in Bollywood films and appeared in prominent movies such as Namaste London, Om Shanti Om and Jannat.
He also introduced his brother Saleem Sheikh in the film industry.
