Summary Ikhlaq Ahmed debuted as a playback singer in 1973 movie Pazaib.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Renowned playback singer Ikhlaq Ahmed was born on May 8, 1946, in Delhi. He started his career as a singer in the 1960s and rose to fame a decade later during the era of Ahmed Rushdi, Mehdi Hassan and others.

His career as a playback singer started in the 1973 film Pazaib. He formed a singing group with renowned film actor Nadeem and playback singer Masood Rana.

Though Ahmed might not have made that much of an impact upon the Pakistani singing industry, some of his songs were massive hits of the time.

Ikhlaq Ahmed breathed his last on August 4, 1999, in London. He died because of blood cancer.
