LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Hollywood s finest gave a standing ovation Sunday as Golden Globes organizers pledged support for freedom of expression, including in North Korea and over the deadly Paris attack on Charlie Hebdo.

"Together we will stand united against anyone who will repress free speech, anywhere, from North Korea to Paris," said Theo Kingma, head of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), bringing the applauding audience to its feet.
