Summary Counsel for Meera said it wasn't proved so far that her client was in that video.

LAHORE (Web Desk) - The session court has ordered to register case against Lollywood actress Meera and her alleged husband Captain Naveed in controversial video case, Dunya News reported on Monday.

During the course of proceedings, counsel for Meera said it wasn t confirmed so far that her client was in that video. Meanwhile, SHO of Mozang police station said Meera hasn’t recorded any statement in this regard.

After hearing all the arguments, the session judge ordered to register case against Meera and Captain Naveed.

A petition was filed by Shabbir Muhammad following the release of an objectionable video on internet. The petitioner stated that the video has tarnished the image of Pakistan while requested the court to take action against film actress Meera and captain Naveed.

Meera had denied the video’s authenticity, terming it as an attempt to undermine her position and credibility.

Earlier, the sessions court also issued arrest warrants for Meera and Naveed after they failed to appear in court despite summons issued over a plea seeking registration of a criminal case.
