Summary
Brazilian designer Carlos Miele debuted his Fall Collection at New York Fashion Week to rave reviews.Miele, whose work is often compared to Diane von Furstenberg, unveiled a traditional Brazilian collection inspired by artisan techniques like patchwork, stitching, crochet, and leatherwork. Describing his collection, the designer said, It is a very rich collection. That is why I am doing the hair and make-up very clean, as it is pretty much about the collection, the clothes, because of a lot of details. I mix a lot of materials, over layers. The collection inspired with rush constructiv-ism, and how this movement is reflected in Brazilian architecture, painters - and brought this to what my work is now. We have beautiful colors, geometrical abstraction and prints and very architecture forms. The red-carpet-ready looks had bold color combinations, clingy silhouettes and plunging necklines.
