Reports claimed Hollywood's golden couples are avoiding the awards ceremony because Pitt is not nominated for his role in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. Other rumours suggested they do not want to risk running into Pitt's ex-wife, actress Jennifer Aniston.
