Summary Asks Policegiri producer to cancel premiere and hold charity event in Mumbai for flood victims.

MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Despite being jailed, Sanjay Dutt is trying to do his bit for the Uttarakhand victims.

While, the makers of Policegiri were keen on promoting the film in Dubai as producers TP Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal were planning to premiere Sanjay Dutt-starrer Policegiri in Dubai, the actor wrote a letter, suggesting that they refrain from doing so.

Rahul said, "Sanjay wrote a letter to Maanayata mentioning that we should not spend money on holding the film s premiere overseas and instead, organise a charity event in Mumbai and use the funds collected for flood victims."

TP said, "Sanjay s suggestion has moved us and, besides the charity show, we will also donate the producer s share from collections of the first day first show of the film in Maharashtra."

Maanayata, who supports the endeavour, will attend the event along with family and friends. Rahul has not only been in touch with Sanjay personally but also through the Write2Sanjay initiative, where fans have written letters to the actor showing their support. "It has been a humbling experience," says Rahul.
