MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Though Sharmila Tagore would love to work with her daughter Soha Ali Khan, son Saif Ali Khan and daughter-in-law Kareena Kapoor in a film, she feels that only a film based on Shakespeare’s Hamlet would give them an opportunity to come together. “I think Hamlet would be a wonderful film where the

whole family can come together. There is a mother, a sister and a whole family involved. But I don’t know who would make it,” says the veteran actor.

Meanwhile, her dream to direct a film has now died down. “I wanted to direct a film, but now I don’t want to do that anymore,” says Tagore, adding, “There are so many young directors today and they have a different kind of energy. It’s wonderful to see so much of diversity in films.”

Tagore, who is a member of The Sundance Institute-Mahindra Global Filmmaking Award Nomination Committee for the Indian Award winner and The Sundance Institute-The Screenwriters Lab, also expresses her awe at the ideas and concepts that the new breed of independent filmmakers are coming up with. “Being a committee member is a good experience of interacting with new writers and directors and knowing their concepts. Being exposed to different concepts and being critical helps in making some good films,” she says.
