Japan's First Lady is now also the nation's first lady of denim. Selected by a panel of jurists from the Japan Jeans Association gathered this week in Tokyo for Japan Fashion Week, Miyuki Hatoyama was voted one of the nation's best looking female celebrities in jeans on Monday.The prize winner, selected amongst all Japanese celebrities who are regularly seen in jeans, is also meant to be given to those that best represent what the organisers call the spirit of jeans and which they have defined as pioneering, strong, environmental and energetic. The event, Best Jeanist 2009, had a jury panel which selected Miyuki Hatoyama as one of the winners. Specifically they said Miyuki Hatoyama wore jeans in a neat and innovative way that was appropriate for the aggressive nature of denim.
