Summary
Incarcerated, a young Indian took to sculpting and painting in Muzaffarnagar district of northern Uttar Pradesh state.Although he is facing charges of murder, he is an artist at heart. Amit holds a diploma in fine arts. Supported by the jail authorities to pursue art inside the prison, he made an art workshop out of the cage. Various exhibitions of his paintings have been held in Indian capital New Delhi. Two of his paintings were claimed to have been brought by Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Rajesh Khanna. Amit has inspired some his fellow inmates as well.
