Designer Christopher Bailey sent his models down the runway in an explosion of rainbow-colored metallic trench coats as part of his latest spring/summer collection.Models strode the catwalk in corsets, pencil skirts and sleek silk dresses in raspberry pinks, emerald greens and sapphire blues, laced with a metallic edge.Bailey and his creative team looked back into the Burberry archive for inspiration for the seasons designs, including capes and corsets.I dont know if its about confidence but its about believing in the heritage, believing in the team, the vision and trying to make sure that were doing something that is exciting, and that makes people smile.The iconic Burberry trench coat, a staple which reaches back to the companys foundation, appeared in a variety of different forms.Classic styles were covered in colored metallic lace, capes came in both long and short versions and cropped jackets came with boxy shoulders and slim silhouettes.The star-studded event was attended by U.S. Vogue Editor Anna Wintour and burlesque performer Dita von Teese.Tennis player Andy Murray, who won the U.S Open and took gold in the Olympics, attended, wearing Burberry, along with girlfriend, Kim Sears.I dont know a whole lot about it but Ive been to the Burberry show - this is the third year in a row Ive been. I really like the clothes and my girlfriend likes clothes so its a nice thing to do with her.Other stars included Harry Styles from band, One Direction, and paralympic 100 metres gold medallist from Team GB, Johnnie Peacock.
