Summary Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have launched a 12-day-long Indian Film Festival in Australia.

The actors are currently on a global promotional tour for theirforthcoming release Teri Meri Kahaani, the Hindustan Times reports.Speaking at a press conference, Chopra said: What we offer as Indian movies is colour and culture and music and celebration and drama and love, and I think thats representative of our culture.I think Indian movies are going beyond just the shores of India or the South-Asian subcontinent - its going all over the world.Kapoor added: I think whats beautiful about our films is that theyre different from the kind of films that people get to see otherwise, and I think thats why we kind of stand out.Festival director Mitu Bhowmick Lange said they will screen 40 films during the period, including the world premiere of Teri Meri Kahaani.Its just about bringing these two worlds as close as possible and being this really good, fun, cultural bridge between the two countries, Lange said.
