Noted Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma, who is known for making films based on real life issues, says his upcoming film “Department” is not based on Mumbai police.“Some sections of the press reported ‘Department’ is based upon real life characters in mumbai police ...its not true,” Varma posted on Twitter.It was earlier reported that the film revolves around the various struggles in Mumbai police department. The film features Amitabh Bachchan as a gangster-turned politician, Sanjay Dutt as Inspector and Rana Daggubati as an encounter specialist. “Department” will hit screens on May 18.
