Just a click away: Faisalabad's e-library offering readers a book paradise

(Dunya News) – A book is a man’s best friend. And understanding that bond, an initiative in Faisalabad aims to use technology to bring a wide range of books to those who want to read.

With the passage of time and advancement in technology, books are now available in digitised form just a click away.

In Pakistan, very few libraries are completely digitised. However, in Faisalabad, book lovers can find digitised books under one roof.

An initiative of the Punjab government, e-library has been catering many locals through this modern library.

Built inside Faisalabad’s Alfatah Sports Complex, this e-library has a vast range of books available. From instructional text books to fiction and non-fiction, the ever expanding e-library has become the centre of attraction for many book lovers and students.

This modern e-library also has more than 40,000 actual books on a wide range of topics.

Speaking to Dunya News, readers say that the library has a wide range of online books, with students being able to access material which has helped them in their studies.

The library also has classrooms and tutors to help and guide students in many subjects.

Members of this library can access free internet and laptops.
