Mardan Women University celebrates the colours of Pashtun culture

(Dunya News) – Mardan Women University organised a colourful event featuring dresses, music and food depicting the Pashtun culture.
Spreading the colours of their culture, students of Mardan Women University displayed various stalls that portrayed various elements of the Pashtun culture.
Participating students said that such events are important to promote and revive the unique culture of Pashtuns.
Where there were colourful stalls displaying Pashtun culture, gifted students of Microbiology Department exhibited their science models and research posters during a science exhibition that was held on the sidelines of the event.

Food stalls became the centre of attraction with chapli kebabs being the hottest item on the menu. Some stalls also displayed cutlery items.
Students dressed up in colourful traditional Pashtun frocks became the highlight of the event.
Senator Dr. Mehr Taj Roghani was the chief guest at the event. “This is such a beautiful and colourful event to promote Pashtun culture, which is dying and needs to be revived through such efforts,” she said while speaking to Dunya News.
At the end of the event, prizes were distributed among the students. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen admired students for their efforts.
