According to police, the footage shows Mir Raza taking a glowing object from his pocket and throwing it away. Investigators believe the object appears to be a mobile phone.
During the investigation, a citizen who found the mobile phone identified the exact location where it was recovered. The individual told police that the phone was found at the same spot where the CCTV footage captured Mir Raza discarding the object.
Police have collected additional evidence from the recovery site and secured more CCTV footage tracing Mir Raza's movements before the incident.
Officials said the investigation has been expanded with the help of the new video evidence, while forensic and technical analysis of the CCTV footage is underway.
Authorities added that investigators are cross-checking all available evidence to establish the facts surrounding the case.
