SHUJABAD (Dunya News) – Police have registered a case against 15 people and arrested five of them for allegedly torturing a youth, and shaving his head and mustache, Dunya News reported here on Sunday night.
Police said it received a complaint that 15 influential landowners took a youth to their outhouse and subjected him to torture. The forced him to take dirt. His head and mustache were shaved by the landowners.
According to police, the youth’s health deteriorated and was admitted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in a critical condition. The video of the incident made rounds on social media, invoking severe reaction from the netizens, who demanded police action against the perpetrators.
Police said the remaining suspects would be arrested soon and brought to justice.
