Robber killed, policeman injured in Karachi 'encounter'

KARACHI (Dunya News) – An alleged robber was killed and a policeman injured when a team of law enforcers and two bandits exchanged fire in Shah Latif Abdullah Ghot, Dunya News reported here on Tuesday night.

During the shoot, a suspected bandit escaped. Police received information that two robbers in Shah Latif Abdullah Ghot were planning to deprive people of their valuables. When police approached them, they opened fire.

Police retaliated and killed a robber whereas his accomplice escaped. The injured policeman was admitted to hospital and the dead body of the alleged robber was sent to hospital for medicolegal procedure. Police have launched a manhunt for the fleeing robber.
