Woman, son sustain burns in Pindi acid attack

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A woman and her son sustained burns when her husband and elder son threw acid on them in Raja Akram Colony here on Sunday.

According to Civil Lines police, the woman and her son were admitted to hospital after the acid attack. Their condition was stated to be out of danger.

Acid attack victim Maryam Farooq in her complaint for registration of a case against them has alleged that her husband and son tortured her and her younger son and threw acid due to which they burnt.

On her complaint, police have registered a case. Rawalpindi CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani has taken notice of the attack and ordered for early arrest of the culprits. He said the accused will be brought to justice. Later, the woman and her son were discharged from hospital.
