PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Twenty-six policemen were martyred and 69 terrorists sent to hell in terrorist attacks in the city during the first two-and-half months of this corresponding year.
Peshawar CPO on Wednesday shared detail with the media pertaining to terrorist attacks in the city during this current year, revealing that militants carried out 68 assaults and took lives of 26 policemen, and injured 30.
According to the CPO, in the month of Jan, militants conducted 29 attacks, in Feb, 24 attacks were carried out and in current month till March 15, 15 attacks were orchestrated.
The police officer said police killed 69 terrorists. In terrorist attacks, 10 police vehicles were damaged. In the month of March, perpetrators attacked 16 police posts, seven police stations and nine police parties.
He said war against the militants will continue till their elimination.
WOMAN ARRESTED WITH HEROIN
Lahore Airport security personnel claimed to have arrested a woman with one-kg heroin.
According to a spokesman for Karachi ASF, the woman wanted to smuggle the heroin to Abu Dubai. She hid packets of drugs in different parts her body. Further investigation was under way.
GRENADE ATTACK
In Peshawar, unidentified suspects carried out an attack with a grenade on a hotel adjacent to a filling station. On information, police reach the crime scene and started investigation. No casualty or damage of property was reported till filling this report.
