Robber killed in accomplices' firing during 'encounter' with police

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A suspected robber involved in dozens of incidents of robbery, abduction for ransom and murder was killed by the firing of his own accomplices when he was taken to Khana for recovery, Dunya News reported.
The alleged bandit was identified as Jamil alias Jeela. According to police, he was the sign of terror in Lahore.
He was being taken to the hideouts of his accomplices when the police party was ambushed by the outlaws.
Police retaliated to the firing of four robbers. As a result of exchange of fire, the under custody robber was killed in firing of his own accomplices.
Police shifted the dead body to hospital and launched a search operation for the arrest of the fleeing burglars.
SEVEN INJURED OVER PROPERTY
In a firing incident in Chahmiran area, seven persons were injured. Police said a man injured his uncle and six others over a property dispute.
On information, police scrambled to the crime scene and shifted the inured to hospital. Police have started investigation after registering a case.
