IG takes notice of the murder
LAHORE (Dunya News) - A constable murdered his colleague lady constable in Harbanspura, Dunya News reported here on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Soman of Shahdra. She was on leaves now-a-days. Accused Muhammad Farooq, who is also a constable, killed her with three bullets in her head.
After the murder, the constable escaped. Cantt SP Shafiq Owais along with contingent of police reached the crime scene and started investigation. Dead body of the lady constable was shifted to hospital for autopsy.
Punjab IG Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the murder and issued directives for the early arrest of the fleeing policeman with the help CCTV footage.
A police team has been formed under the supervision of Baghbanpura SDPO to arrest the accused and ensure justice to the bereaved family.
