LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested four suspects by smashing a gang of child molesters.
The arrested suspects identified as Khalid, Bilal, Nawaz and Ramzan have confessed to their involvement in the heinous crimes.
According to DIG Organised Crime Unit, the gang targeted runaway children, offering them food and shelter to gain their trust.
Once the children were in their custody, the accused transported them to various inns in the Data Darbar area, where they were subjected to molestation.
The perpetrators charged their clients between Rs500 to Rs1000 for access to these vulnerable children.
Meanwhile, Islampura police arrested a criminal in an injured condition after an encounter.
Police signaled the two motorcyclists to stop for checking but the bike riders started firing at the police.
In the firing, an outlaw was injured by the firing of his own accomplice.
Police arrested the injured bike rider identified as Usman Mansha and shifted him to hospital. Police claimed that the arrested criminal was involved in robbery and theft cases.
