LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested 15 terrorists of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during the 180 intelligence-based operations (IBO) across several cities of Punjab. 

The CTD conducted IBOs in the light of terrorism concerns. 

The CTD spokesperson disclosed that IBOs were conducted in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Multan, Toba Tek Singh, Muzaffargarh, Attock, Mianwali, Faisalabad, and Chiniot. 

During the operations, the most wanted terrorist of TTP trained from South Waziristan had been arrested in Mianwali. 

According to spokesperson, explosive material, jackets, 18 detonators, 47 feet fuse wire, one bomb, one prima card, mobile phone and cash have been recovered from terrorists. The terrorists have been identified as Hafiz Abdul Malik, Noor Raheem, Noorul Ameen, Aziz, Riaz, Ikram Khan, Ijaz, Abdul Wahab, Yaar Gul and Ali Shah. 

Terrorists were planning an attack to spread fear among the public. 

As per spokesperson, 225 suspects were arrested during 714 combing operations in recent month. During the combing operation, 19,670 individuals were investigated.
