Six suspects have been taken into custody
MIANWALI (Web Desk) - Three persons were killed and six injured in a gun attack over an old enmity between two groups in Issakhel, Mianwali here on Thursday.
According to police, those killed in the attack were facing double murder charges and returning from a court after their hearing.
Punjab IGP Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from the Sargodha RPO.
He directed the Mianwali DPO to investigate every aspect of the incident. He directed him to form a special team and arrest the suspects.
Meanwhile, a police team led by Mianwali DPO Matiullah Khan arrested six main suspects involved in the firing.
The DPO said investigation was going on from every aspect of the incident, adding the remaining suspects would be arrested soon.
He said legal proceedings were underway.
