Terrorists opened fire on them near a checkpost
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A police constable embraced martyrdom and the other sustained bullet injuries when two terrorists riding on a bike targeted them near Northern Bypass police checkpost, Dunya News reported here on Monday.
The martyred policeman was identified Muhammad Yasin whereas the injured as Salman Abbas. They were taking water from a tyre shop near their post when the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on them.
As a result, Muhammad Yasin succumbed to his bullet injuries at the spot and Salman Abbas sustained severe injuries and was admitted to hospital.
The dead body of Yasin was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. After the incident, a contingent of police reached the spot and started investigation.
Sindh Interior Minister Ziaul Hassan has sought a report from SSP East Farukh Raza and ordered the law enforcers to arrest the fleeing terrorists at the earliest.
