Two newborn bodies found in private hospital’s washroom in Karachi
KARACHI (Dunya News) – In a shocking incident, bodies of two 'infants' were found from a private hospital’s washroom in Karachi on Tuesday.
Police confirmed finding of two fetal remains within a bathroom at a private hospital in Karachi's North Nazimabad area.
Consequently, a case was filed by police against a 30-year-old woman, invoking Section 338-C of the Pakistan Penal Code.
As per FIR, the remnants of the infants were found within the hospital's restroom, guiding investigators to the scene.
Hospital authorities reported that a 30-year-old woman had visited the facility for a check-up. After obtaining her admission slip from the counter, she underwent an examination in the Outpatient Department (OPD).
The woman received advice to proceed to the emergency room and rest on a bed. However, instead of adhering to the guidance, she veered towards the restroom. Subsequently, she spent a considerable duration within the restroom, and then left the hospital premises without informing anyone.
The hospital's administration noted that as the woman remained untraceable for an extended period, someone eventually discovered a human fetus within the restroom.
