The eight-year-old tween struggled for life in hospital for ten long days
LAHORE (Web Desk) - An eight-year-old seminary student succumbed to his injuries after being hospitalised for days. The victim was allegedly raped and later killed by the teacher to conceal the crime in Raiwind area of the provincial capital.
According to the complainant, the deceased victim was residing in seminary hostel and the teacher frequently resorted to sexually assault the victim identified as Samar. The suspect Qari Rizwan, already in police custody, allegedly raped the tween and then threw him from the seminary's rooftop to conceal his crime.
The FIR says that Samar was sleeping in the room of madrasah when Qari Rizwan allegedly tried to rape him. The suspect started torturing the boy and fractured his arm upon facing resistance by the victim. Rizwan took the boy to the rooftop of the seminary and threw him down in order to conceal his crime.
The injured boy was then taken to hospital for medical treatment, but could not be revived even after ten days owing to severity of injuries.
The body of deceased was shifted to mortuary for autopsy. Police claim to ensure stringent punishment for the suspect according to law, a strong case will be built against the suspect as the rape charge now involves murder as well.
