The suspects involved in firing on ASI Imran got killed in an alleged encounter
LAHORE (Dunya News) – In an exchange of fire during an alleged encounter between CIA civil lines and a dacoit group, an absconder of murder case along with another wanted criminal was killed. The suspects were involved in an attack on policeman.
Both the suspects, Qadeer and Nasir were being shifted to Mananwan PS after recovery of stolen motorcycles and weapon from their possession when the police party was attacked by their partners. The police van was caught up in the exchange of fire and both the suspects were killed by the firing of their partners.
According to the DSP, absconder Qadeer and Nasir were heavily injured by the firing of their accomplices. Both the suspects were being shifted to hospital for medical aid when they succumbed to their injuries and breathed their last.
DSP Rashid Amin Butt further added, both the deceased suspects recently injured ASI Imran of CIA and could be seen in a CCTV footage while firing on him.
The partners of the suspects flee away from the scene utilising the advantage of dark and left their motorcycle behind. The DSP added, police is making raids on the probable havens of the suspects who opened fire at police.
