ANF foils attempts to smuggle drugs from ISB, KHI to KSA

In various operation ANF seized several kg of heroin

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has thwarted attempts to smuggle drugs to Saudi Arabia from Islamabad and Karachi. As the technology enhanced over time, smugglers are also utilising latest techniques and detection of such activities is becoming quite exhausting for LEA’s.

According to the ANF spokesperson, efforts are being made all over to country to hinder the smuggling and recently the ANF has been successful at Jinnah International Airport in recovering 800g of heroin from a passenger, traveling from Karachi to Saudi Arabia. The suspect hid the seized drugs in books with such a mastery that exposing him became an arduous task for the authorities. The suspect was arrested from the airport.

On the other hand, 73 heroin capsules were discovered from the abdomen of a passenger, destined for Jeddah, at Islamabad International Airport.

Moreover, the authorities, conducting operation in different areas of Islamabad, arrested 4 suspects and recovered 6.6kg marijuana and 200gm of opium.

The ANF has registered cases against all arrested suspect under Anti-Narcotics Act.
