Customs seize smuggled betel worth Rs50m, arrests one
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Customs Intelligence on Wednesday arrested a suspect with smuggled betel nut worth Rs50 million in an operation in Karachi.
The Customs spokesperson said an operation was conducted near Northern Bypass in which the officials seized smuggled betel nut concealed beneath layers of stones inside dumpers. The team also arrested a suspect.
In another operation, the customs team impounded four non-custom paid cars worth Rs20.5 million.
