FIA arrests five in hundi hawala and illegal money exchange
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested five accused in hundi-hawala and illegal money exchange cases.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Rana Ijaz and SI Ali Raza of the FIA Punjab chapter arrested the accused Tauqeer Ahmad, Hamza, Ghufran Ali, Tanvir, and Yasin from the premises of Edgerton road.
The agency recovered 64thousand Turkmenistani Manat, and hundi-hawala – informal channels through which money flows in or out of the country – receipts form the arrested.
A case was lodged against the accused under Foreign Exchange Regulations Act.
