16 died when fire erupted in chemical factory in Karachi.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A case has been registered against owner, manager and supervisor of the factory which engulfed in flames a day earlier.

According to First Information Report (FIR), there was no emergency exit in the factory for save evacuation of staff in case of any unfortunate incident.

It merits mention that at least 16 labourers on Friday lost their lives as a huge fire erupted at a chemical factory in Karachi’s Korangi.

Fire fighters declared the fire as "third degree" because of the toxic chemical.

Five of a family including three brothers are also among the dead. The bereaved family told that the door leading to roof was locked due to which, the laborers were unable to save their lives.
