Larkana: Three dacoits killed, two policemen martyred in encounter
LARKANA (Dunya News) - Three dacoits were killed while two policemen were martyred and one was injured in encounter in Larkana.
According to sources, the robbers on motorcycles opened fire on a police mobile within the limits of Arija police station, leaving two policemen, Khalid Kongo and Barkat, martyred on the spot while Abdul Wahid Chandio was seriously injured.
As soon as the incident was reported, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
The dead and injured personnel were rushed to Chandka Medical Hospital where the condition of the injured is being reported out of danger.
On the other hand, the police chased the dacoits and surrounded them, in exchange of fire which lasted for more than an hour three dacoits were killed.
According to SSP Imran Qureshi, three Kalashnikovs were recovered from the possession of the robbers.
