Maritime Security Agency arrests 28 foreign fishermen in offshore operation

KARACHI (Dunya News) – In an operation in the high seas, the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency has arrested 28 foreign fishermen for illegal fishing.

A spokesman for the Maritime Security Agency said five foreign fishing boats violating Pakistan’s territorial waters were seized and twenty-eight foreign fishermen aboard those boats were arrested.

After preliminary investigation, the arrested fishermen were handed over to the docks police for legal action. All foreign fishermen are accused of illegal fishing in Pakistani waters.
