Peshawar: 11 drivers arrested for operating inter-district transport despite ban
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - District administration in Peshawar arrested 11 drivers for taking passengers to other districts despite the ban imposed by the provincial government. The vehicles used were also taken into custody.
According to the district administration, a crackdown was carried out on GT Road against violations of the coronavirus Code of Conduct. A total of 11 drivers were arrested for transporting passengers to other districts.
Officials said that legal action will be taken against the arrested drivers. To recall, the KP provincial government has banned inter-district transport on Saturdays and Sundays across the province.
