Couple sentenced to death, life imprisonment for raping, filming girl
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A local court of Rawalpindi has sentenced accused Qasim Jahangir to death and life imprisonment to his wife for kidnapping, raping and recording inappropriate video of a girl.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Jahangir Ali Gondal awarded death sentence to Qasim Jahangir over rape and recording inappropriate video of MSc student under Section 21 of the Electronic Criminal Act, while also announcing three-year imprisonment and a total of Rs2.5 million in fines.
The order states that the culprit should be hanged until his death is confirmed.
Convict’s wife Kiran Jahangir has been sentenced to life along with a fine of one million rupees. Both convicts would face up to six more months in prison for non-payment of fines.
