Karachi: Youth killed in alleged police encounter declared innocent

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A youth, Sultan Nazir, who was killed in an alleged police encounter on January 3 in Karachi’s SITE area is declared innocent as Baldia Town SP has forwarded the investigation report to higher authorities.

Sources familiar with the matter have informed Dunya News on Thursday that the victim was killed in crossfire between police and robbers. The bandits managed to escape afterwards.

Case has been lodged under murder and terrorism charges against the two officials, Jahangir and Shabbir Ahmed, who were involved in the incident. The victim, resident of Garden, was a graduation student and worked at a garment shop in Saddar.
