Cases lodged, several people arrested nationwide over SOPs violation on New Year's Eve
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Several people have been arrested in parts of country for violating standard operating procedures (SOPs) on New Year’s Eve.
According to details, three people were taken into custody by the security personnel over resorting to aerial firing in Karachi’s Defence and Sadar areas while restaurants and salons were also sealed over not following the SOPs.
Meanwhile in Lahore, the police officers filed 112 cases and put 126 people into jail. 36 motorcycles were also seized over violation of one-wheeling whereas 34 people were detained over aerial firing.
Separately, 20 people were apprehended in Multan.
