Karachi: Police arrest accused involved in looting after encounter
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Police in Federal B-Area of Karachi have arrested an accused who robbed citizens after an encounter while injured, on the other hand Mominabad police have arrested five fake policemen who were allegedly trying to rob a citizen.
An alleged police encounter took place between police and street criminals on Shah Waliullah road in Federal B Industrial Area in Karachi. Police arrested one accused while his two accomplices escaped.
According to police, the three accused were robbing the citizens. The accused looted cash, mobile phones and other items from the citizen and were fleeing when the police arrived.
On the other hand police in Mominabad area of Karachi have arrested five fake police officials including a fake SHO.
According to police, the arrested suspects were involved in kidnapping, short-term kidnapping and extortion. Suspects used to rob people under the guise of police officials.
The accused include Ahsan Farooqi, Faizan, Shahbaz, Kashif and Shahid. The accused Ahsan Farooqi used to pretend as SHO.
Meanwhile, Malir police, acting on intelligence information, arrested Ali alias Pathan, a facilitator involved in several terrorist incidents.
According to police, the accused facilitated the grenade attack on DSP Gulbahar s office and provided logistical support to the
accused group for terrorism. Illegal weapons, grenades and half a kilogram of explosives were recovered from the accused.
