ANF seizes drugs worth billions of rupees
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted operations across the country and recovered drugs worth billions of rupees.
According to the ANF spokesperson, an operation is underway across the country against drug dealers. The ANF has seized more than 1,917kg of narcotics in 14 operations. Fifteen accused involved in drug trafficking and smuggling have been arrested while seven vehicles have been seized.
According to the spokesperson, the drugs seized included 1834.85kg of hashish, 15kg of opium, 11.5kg of heroin and 60kg of alcohol.
The international value of the drugs recovered was US$ 62.342 million (approximately PKR 9 billion).
