ANF foils bid to smuggle heroin worth Rs380 million
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Intelligence Department has foiled an attempt to smuggle a large consignment of heroin from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab. The smuggler couple was arrested and heroin worth Rs380 million was recovered.
According to details, ANF intelligence conducted an operation in Peshawar on the basis of intelligence information about a large consignment of drugs being smuggled to Punjab and seized the vehicle carrying the drugs. During the search, 41 kg of heroin worth Rs380 million was recovered.
ANF has arrested acuused Irfan along with his wife and two children.
According to sources, the accused used to travel between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ten times a month to smuggle heroin, which was to be sold in different parts of Punjab.
