ANF seizes drugs worth Rs2 billion
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized drugs worth Rs 2 billion while conducting operations across the country.
According to ANF spokesperson, 13 operations were carried out across the country, during which 596.42 kg of drugs were recovered. Sixteen suspects, including two women involved in drug trafficking, were arrested.
The spokesman added that nine vehicles used in smuggling were also seized. The drugs seized included 521.300 kg of hashish and 31.200 kg of opium.
Other drugs seized included 3.4kg of heroin, 520g of amphetamine (ice) and 40kg of ketamine, according to an ANF spokesman. The international value of the seized drugs is $11.781 million (approximately Rs. 2 billion).
