Two dacoits killed in encounter in Gujranwala
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) - Two dacoits were killed in an alleged encounter with police in Gujjar Chowk area of Gujranwala while two others managed to escape.
The dead robbers have been identified as Murtaza and Amanat.
According to police sources, the dead robbers escaped from police custody with the help of their accomplices in a car last night.
Four robbers on two motorcycles broke through a roadblock near Gujjar Chowk. The suspects fled and opened fire on police. In the exchange of fire, the two robbers were shot dead by their comrades. More than 70 cases of robbery and other crimes were registered against the dead robbers.
