Gang involved in stealing sacrificial animals arrested from Jhelum
JHELUM (Dunya News) - As Eid-ul-Adha approaches, incidents of sacrificial animal thefts are increasing. However, a gang involved in these activities was arrested in Jhelum on Thursday.
According to details, Jhelum’s Saddar Police arrested a three-member gang involved in robbing animal sellers and stealing goats from citizens. Reportedly, young children were being used by the gang.
Police said that Saddar’s Kala Chowki police station caught the robbers red handed while they were stealing goats using an innocent child.
Police said that a vehicle used by the criminals and stolen animals were recovered from the robbers’ possession. The robbers used to sell the stolen animals at Sarai Alamgir and Gujjar Khan, police said.
