Karachi's law and order situation has improved: IG Sindh

Kaleem Imam said that Karachi now stands at 94th position in global crime list.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Inspector General of Sindh Kaleem Imam on Friday said that law and order situation in Karachi has improved.

Provincial IG expressed that Karachi was ranked at sixth in terms of crime rate in 2014 whereas, the metropolis progressed to 88th position due to effective measures taken against unlawful acts.

He went on to say that Karachi now stands at 94th rank since the start of February this year, and action against irregularities were made concrete and integrated. He added that police checkpoints that were being controlled by criminal elements have also been abolished.
